Postoperative recovery is comfortable. Shower can be taken after surgery. It is beneficial to pay maximum attention to cleaning after using the toilet. Suture removal is not necessary during the recovery period. Since some degree of mild pain may occur after the surgery, it may be necessary to use antibiotics to minimize the risk of infection and use of painkillers.
One month after the operation will be sufficient enough for the sutured area in the vagina to restore a natural appearance. However, the full recovery takes 45 days. Therefore, one should not engage in sexual intercourse for 45 days, that is 6 weeks, after the vaginoplasty.
